thanks

Thank you! Whether you were able to join us or not, because you are a classmate, you made our 40th reunion weekend special. If you were one of the 160 or so classmates who attended a reunion event, you already know the excitement everyone felt. If you were not physically with us, be assured you were very much present in the questions and stories that bloomed in our conversations.

And once again, a huge and hearty “thank you” to John Jay Schwartz, our reunion committee’s  “fearless leader.” His vision and his leap of faith got us started; his focus and his energy continue to see us through. Way to go, John!

more greetings from classmates

Larry Lipsitz ( Sunrise , FL): Wish we could attend. Comments from our classmates prompt great memories of high school days. It is great to see pix of classmates and their families - Nonie and Fran - you and the kids look great! Beverly - you always look great!

Alan Rudlin ( Richmond ): I regret I won’t be able to see my friends at this reunion. I certainly hope there’s a reprise in 5 or 10 years, and I’ll get it on my calendar and protect it. Give all my best.

Lynn Greentree Heiman (OH): Our first grandchild is expected Oct 29 - the reason for my not attending the reunion. Hopefully there will be lots of photos on the web so that those of us not able to attend will be able to view the festivities.

Ric Hoffman ( Coconut Grove , FL ): Many good memories come flashing back when I think of our time at TJ. Unfortunately I will not be able to make it. I have struggled to get there for the good times that I know you will all have, but it is not to be. Hurricane Wilma has added the final touch to my

Hurricane Wilma has added the final touch to my decision. I wish everyone well – I will be thinking of you all.

it isn’t over yet – and more thanks!

Pretty soon, the frequency of the forty65 newsletters will taper off – but they will not stop completely. Sometime after the first of the year, the book and CD of the weekend will be published and distributed.

And our greatly admired (and envied) website will remain up and active. For that gift, a huge and hearty “thank you” goes to Charles Douglass. His willing-ness to put countless hours into its construction, expansion, and on-going maintenance has given our class a lively way to communicate and celebrate.

Speaking of the website, those who have digital reunion photos to share can email them to photos@TJclassof1965.com. We won’t be able to use all of everyone’s photos – but we welcome your very best ones. Because of limits on our email storage, we also ask that you send them as email files or web files – or whatever designation your software uses to make sure that the files are not TOO big. (I trust that those savvy enough to email photos will know what that means. I do not!)

Or you can email CDs of reunion photos to Charles Douglass, 8201 Hermitage Road , Richmond , VA 23228 .

Send us your memorable reunion moments as well (forty65@hotmail.com). To inspire you, here’s one shared at this morning’s brunch by our fabulous classmate DJ Larry Bernstein: “The high point of my weekend? After forty years, I finally got kissed by a cheerleader!”

Go, Larry! Thank you, Cheerleader! And take care, everyone
