reunion invitations have gone out!

In Richmond , they were delivered this past weekend. If for any reason you have not received yours in the next day or so, let us know. The weekend’s plans are also on our website, along with a registration form you can download. Here are a few highlights:

Edibles by Suzanne, a catering business owned and operated by classmate Suzanne Small Wolstenholme, will provide the box lunches at TJ on Saturday of our weekend.

Our 40th class reunion photo will also be taken on Saturday at TJ -  by John Henley, a terrific professional photographer, also a classmate.

Prior to lunch in the cafeteria, Russell Flammia (TJ ’62), will give us a “then and now” look at the school. Not only is Russell an alum, he taught at TJ from 1970 until he retired in 2000. He coached several sports and chaired the Social Studies department. As a reunion advisor, he has been a great resource for us in our planning.

On Saturday night, classmate Larry Bernstein will be our DJ, helping make the Gala Dinner Buffet and Dance an event to remember.

more news from classmates

Arlene Wanderer Ott (CO) has been working in auto sales, mostly with high-end German cars, and currently with BMW. Sadly, her mother, Ida Wanderer, who taught many of us math, passed away in  February of 2004.

Susan Foster Stanley (Richmond) taught Home Economics (now Family and Consumer Science) in Henrico County for 25 years – and continues to work for the County, though no longer in the classroom. She names Mrs. Thayer (history) and Mrs. Appler (home ec) as having been positive role models for her.

Susie Johnston Sellner (TX) has taught either in public or private school every grade for which she is certified – that’s first through twelfth grade. She has taught both French and English, and she is currently the Academic Dean of a home school coop, for which she also teaches English.
